RARUK Automation at NEAA Expo 2026
RARUK Automation will be showcasing flexible automation for automotive manufacturing at the North East Automotive Alliance’s annual expo. The event will take place at the Beacon of Light in Sunderland, on Thursday 24th September 2026.
Universal Robots for Automotive Manufacturing
As the leading UK partner of Universal Robots, RARUK Automation will be highlighting UR collaborative robot arms on Stand A21 and the Tech Zone. Due to their flexibility and compact design, Universal Robots are widely used throughout automotive manufacturing for applications including assembly, screwdriving, machine tending, dispensing, inspection, pick-and-place, material handling, testing and surface finishing and polishing.
Due to advancements in robot vision, robots can now detect parts to sub-mm levels of accuracy, regardless of orientation, part material or lighting conditions. Solutions such as Inbolt’s AI-powered GuideNOW provide real-time robot guidance, enabling cobots to perform precise assembly tasks on moving production lines without the need for dedicated jigs or fixtures.
Automotive Material Transport with AMRs
RARUK Automation will also be bringing Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR) AMRs to the NEAA Expo, with demonstrations taking place in the Tech Zone.
MiR mobile robots can carry payloads up to 1,300 kg and can navigate autonomously in dynamic environments. Due to LiDAR scanners, sensors and smart software, MiR robots can build maps, localise themselves and detect obstacles, stopping and re-routing as required. MiR’s opportunity charging enables 24/7 workflows by allowing AMRs to automatically recharge during short, planned breaks in their schedule rather than requiring long charging periods when the battery is depleted.
In automotive plants, AMRs are commonly used for line-side delivery of components, kitting operations, transporting engines, battery modules and body parts, and removing empty containers or production waste. By delivering the right parts to the right place at the right time, AMRs help maintain production flow while reducing the need for forklift traffic and improving workplace safety.

Automation Experts on Hand
Visitors will have the opportunity to discuss specific application requirements with RARUK Automation’s team of technical experts. Manufacturers considering automation will be able to get relevant advice on safety, from risk assessments to standards compliance. Attendees can also learn about financing and hire purchase options, as well as RARUK Automation’s robot loan programme, which allows businesses to trial collaborative robots and AMRs on-site and demonstrate ROI before making an investment.
