Servo Press Spring Inspection Feasibility Friday
For this week’s #FeasibilityFriday, we are looking at an inspection process.
In this application, the aiPRESS servo press from IEF-Werner is being used to inspect springs. Before assembly, the aiPRESS is checking that the length of the springs is correct, this ensures precise and repeatable processing.
The camera, in conjunction with a rotary table, is being used to make sure that there is a spring present before the gripper picks the spring. In this set-up, the camera and gripper are mounted on domiLINE manual slides, which in turn are mounted on euroLINE direct drive linear axis also from IEF-Werner. This ensures positioning accuracy.
