Cobot Bin picking Feasibility Friday

#FeasibilityFriday has come around again and today, we’re sharing a automated bin picking pick-and-place application with a dual gripper.

This application trial uses a Universal Robot UR5e, Pick-It 3D vision camera, Robotiq Dual Gripper Adapter Plate mounted with an EPick vacuum gripper and a Hand-E gripper to pick discs out of a bin and present them to the customer’s machine, then pick the outer section to drop into another bin. This is a great example of how the combination of robot vision and the flexibility of the dual gripper ensure easy automation of your pick & place manufacturing processes.
